What’s New In 2008 For Parts?

January 2, 2008

Now that the holidays are over and the New Year has begun, you’re probably sitting at home dreaming of heading out in your RV. There’s nothing like thinking about camping to make the winter seam shorter and less cold. Here at Bucars we have not been idle this Christmas season, but instead have been gearing up for yet another fun filled year of parts and accessories to dazzle your inner RV’er.

Trade shows to buying shows, we’ve been out looking for what’s new and improved from last year. The most exciting for us would have to be promoting the Hydralift Motorcycle Carrier.  It allows you to easily and safely load and carry your toys on the back of your RV. Its patented design allows you to install on any application, whether you own a diesel pusher or a travel trailer. Another nice feature is that you can easily tow with the Hydralift, so all you folks out there with motorhomes, don’t worry, you will still be able to tow your trailers without any hassle. And, the auto locking system automatically locks the lift in its transport mode with the use of four heavy duty locking arms. There are no pins bolts or nuts that you may loose as with some other systems, so you never have to worry about missing a pin and losing your load. As you can see, we here at Bucars are very excited about this system. We will have a display set up for you to see how quick and easy it is to use with your own eyes at the Calgary RV Show from January 25-27 at the Round Up Center, and then after in our showroom here at Bucars.

It’s not only the big stuff that gets us keyed up here at Bucars; we are also into the little things as well. Service and customer assistance is something we here at Bucars pride ourselves on. We’re never too busy to stop and help you with any questions you have or if you just want to have a chat about some new products were carrying. 2008 is shaping up to be better than ever so come be a part of it; we have a bunch of new accessories that are sure to capture your attention like they did ours.  We hope to see you soon.

And, don’t forget to check us out at the 2008 Calgary RV Show at the Round Up Center Jan 25-27.

Nav200 a fabulous addition to endless adventure
June 27 , 2007

The response was all “ooh’s” and “awe’s” as Chris spoke about the new Delphi Nav200 at the recently passed Advanced RV’ing seminar. “You talk about a marriage saver,” one gentleman humbly exclaimed from the audience of about 40 people. “This thing will even tell you where the next shopping mall is,” said his wife. All in all, the Nav200 is perfect for any RV’er looking to get from point A to point B without hassle.

The Nav200 is not only a portable GPS device but an MP3 player, picture viewer, movie player, world clock, and calculator. The touch screen is easy to use and the system itself is very simple to operate.

When you get to a destination, detach the face and take it with you, it’s fully portable and the battery will last for hours. Better yet, the Nav200 does not require a subscription, comes with full maps of Canada and the U.S., and is real-time traffic ready.

You’d normally expect to pay upwards of $1000 for technology like this, but the Nav200 is available at Bucars for only $449.99. Next time you’re at the dealership, pick one up in the parts department. Nor more having to drive around searching for the next gas station or shopping mall or coffee shop; it’s that simple.

Why You Should Never RV Without It
May 29, 2007

RV toilet paper is a specially formulated toilet tissue made for RV and marine toilet systems. Its rapid dissolving material breaks up quickly so that you never have a fear of obstruction blocking up your tank. When using the RV toilet paper there is no need for tissue digesters, and no hassle when is comes to emptying your tanks.

RV toilets are designed to work with a minimal amount of water with only about a pint or less of water being used with each flush, so the low water systems will not become clogged. An average household toilet will run more than 1.5 gallons of water when flushed, and since most regular brands of toilet tissue contain adhesives that prevent the tissue from breaking apart, RV toilets can become horribly congested.

Bucars RV carries two different brands of the RV toilet tissue, Sealand and Thetford. On top of having two different brands to choose from, you can also choose the thickness of your tissue.

The bottom line is if you are using RV toilet paper your camping experience will be much more enjoyable. No more blocks, no more messy cleanups, and your going to conserve on the amount of water you need to flush down your toilet. The possibility of a messy problem is easily averted.

RV Parts you cannot Travel without
April 24, 2007

Water Pressure Regulator: You have no control over the water pressure going into your RV, UNLESS you use a water regulator. Your unit is designed noto exceed 45psi. Buy a water regulator and thank me later.

RV Toilet Paper: People always tell me they can save a couple dollars using standard Wal-Mart toilet tissue, and they’ve been using it for years. Well after seeing the number of service units and people calling and asking for advice on clogs etc… I would advise you to use the real thing. No one wants to deal with a clogged tank or blocked sewage line. Nobody.

Patio Mat: People spend a lot of time cleaning there RV when they come home off the road and this can make the job that much easier. Less mess plus a quick spray with the garden hose at home and it looks like new.

Awning Tie-Downs: As parts manager you would have thought I had the ability to decide it was a necessary part. Last Canada Day long weekend I “forgot” to bring mine along. $1500 awning repair job later, I will never leave home without it again.

Non Toxic Water Hose: If you use a standard water hose you will send that taste we all hate into your tank, no one wants that.

That's just a simple rundown of those must have items. If anyone has any questions, feel free to give me a call at the dealership, or blast me an email any time.
