Bucars Tops off Product Offering by Adding Newmar Motorcoaches this September

September 3 2009

One hears it all the time - “the strongest ones will survive.” In this case, we're not talking about Goliath versus David, or the “law of the jungle.” We're not talking about Blu-ray versus HD. We aren't even talking about Coke versus Pepsi. We're talking motorhomes.

The RV wars are all but over, but it is safe to say that, in this market, the strongest ones do in fact survive. And it won't stop there. The well managed companies will go on to take the market lead. They will reign and make strides toward maintaining that position through the next decade. Until the next big bump in the road.

Today, the strongest have survived (so far). Of these we can add two players to the list: Calgary, Alberta-based Bucars RV Centre and Nappanee, Indiana-based Newmar Corporation.

Each have watched the tumultuous economic storm come and seemingly begin to depart, at the same time watching legendary RV manufacturers Fleetwood Trailer Division, Monaco, Pilgrim International, Alfa, Travel Supreme, Teton Homes, Nuwa, Country Coach, R-Vision, Holiday Rambler, Bigfoot, National RV and Coachman, file for Chapter 11, laying off hundreds of staff members, or simply closing the doors. It's a sad state in the RV business.

Bucars will add Newmar's Bay Star, Canyon Star, Ventana and Dutch Star to its already impressive lineup of motorhomes this September and become the only Alberta dealership to carry the well known brand.

Bucars, which is celebrating 50 years in the industry, prides itself on customer service, spacious location, their parts and services departments, and of course, the quality of their product. Each manufacturer they carry is hand-selected for the quality of their product, their management, and their reputation in the industry. For Bucars, it's only the best.

"Bucars is extremely excited to be the newest Canadian Newmar dealer and we look forward to offering all of Alberta an opportunity to own an RV from Newmar and Bucars RV Centre," stated Jeff Redmond, Bucars RV Centre sales manager. “Just as Newmar 'Loves RVs,' so do we here at Bucars. Bucars is passionate about 'everything RVing' and we're looking forward to working with Newmar on continuing this love of the RV lifestyle and sharing it with our customers, friends, and family."

For over 40 years, Newmar has grown from a company of six people to a company of over 900. The success of this company clearly lies in the quality of the product, which is built using Amish principles and tenets. The company is continually updating its facilities and is always ahead of the curve in RV design and construction.

“We were getting calls from local Newmar owners before anyone knew we were a Newmar dealer,” says Redmond. “The Newmar customer is someone who knows what quality, attention to detail and value is all about. We've already seen this with the questions people are asking us. They're so eager to see the new product. We love the culture Newmar has created over the years. It's just amazing.”

2010 models will be available immediately as Bucars prepares for the fall season. And it won't just be the sales department who will see this change take place. The Bucars service department will also see change. Bucars staff will be fully trained and certified Newmar technicians, capable of any repair. All genuine Newmar parts and accessories will also be available at Bucars come September.

Although tomorrow is always just another day, the partnership between Bucars and Newmar will hopefully see blue skies and clear sailing. The economic landscape is full of uncertainty, and some say we're not out of the woods yet. But one thing is for certain, only the best of the best will make it through. Only the strongest will survive.
