Everyone gathered together early in the morning to celebrate another year of the famous Calgary Stampede.
People of all ages enjoying pancakes, music and wagon rides, just some of the many activities available to those who participated. Bucars RV volunteers and other Balzac businesses came early to lend a helping hand. What a spectacular time!
Looking forward to next year and hopefully we will see you there!

This Just in… Bucars to Carry Carriage 5th Wheels
Cameo and Domani by Carriage 5th Wheels will be gracing the pavement at Bucars RV this Spring. “We’re very excited about this great new line of trailers,” says Bucars Owner Jeff Redmond. “Carriage has a well known dealer network, they’re smaller in size and privately owned, which is nice, and they pay extreme attention to quality, which is what we always look for in the products we carry.” Carriage is also one of the only 5th wheels you can use full time, year round. Bucars employees volunteer at Ronald McDonald House charity run…
It was a crisp August morning as eleven bright-eyed Bucars employees started to set up the food station at the first ever Ronald McDonald House Rock the House Run that took place at the new Alberta Children’s Hospital Sunday August 19th, 2007. “We had a lot of fun cooking and helping out,” says Bucars Volunteer Coordinator Lindsay Bruce, “I’m looking forward to getting everyone out again next year.” The run follows a similar theme as many hugely popular runs that take place in the United States where rock and roll bands are plotted long the run course to encourage weary runners and walkers with vibrant beats, fun costumes, and dancing.

Bucars RV Consultant Creating Smiles and Making them Brighter at the Same Time
Bucars’ very own Bob Purse, RV Consultant extraordinaire, is currently in Venezuela with Kindness in Action to help assist volunteer dentists as they perform dental work on underprivileged children. This isn’t Bob’s first trip with this extremely noble organization either. He has done this for many years and each time brings back with him many stories to share. Here is a brief description of our trip with Kindness in Action:
For my fifth year volunteering with Kindness in Action, my wife and I were asked to work in Barquisimeto Venezuela, a city in the north-west part of the country. A team of 32 people, many of them dental professionals, worked in a school where we brought in all the required equipment and supplies to operate a dental clinic with 7 restorative stations, 2 hygiene stations, and 2 surgeries. In one week,we assisted426 children from various orphanages in the surrounding area. Local charities organize the children to be brought in by bus each day.
As a non-dental person, I "assisted" in the surgery with setting out the required instruments, loading syringes, assisting thedentists with extractions, and packing the gums after the teeth are removed. Over the past years I have also become adept at assembling the portable drill units and compressors, and work right from the word “go!” to get the stations set up and working.
It is impossible to describe the emotions you feel when you have the opportunity to work with this dedicated team, to alleviate pain from people who have little or nothing. The work is exhausting and emotionally draining, but you leave with a feeling that maybe you have done some good in the world. The teams are assembled from a large group of volunteers from all over Canada, as well as some other parts of the world, and you meet most of your team for the first time at the airport. We have a common goal, enjoy the experience, and make new friends from many places and backgrounds.
Previous trips we have worked in very remote areas in Guatemala, Nicaragua& Honduras. This wasmy first experience working in a major center, and therefore you see the drastic differences between the middle and upper class, andthe very poor population who make up 85% of Venezuela.

Bucars Wins Silver and Bronze in Readers Choice Award
Balzac, AB - Bucars RV Centre is happy to accept two Readers Choice Awards from RV West Magazine.
